Bloomington Dog Walks


     Welcome to Bloomington Dog Walks' official website! Our fun, free dog walking club meets every other Saturday morning in downtown Bloomington, Indiana. The Club was formed to help build a healthy, exciting and social way to grow our local animal community.

  Exercise has calming and mood-stabilizing effects; both humans and dogs benefit psychologically and physically. By regularly exercising one can reduce the risk of fatal diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer and obesity. Since exercise builds and strengthens your muscles and bones one may also decrease the risk of osteoporosis and arthritis

Dogs also benefit greatly from organized walks and exercise. Dogs always have time to walk, rain or shine, and will encourage you to do so as well! Social interaction with other animals/people from a young age promotes a dog's well-being. Pack animals by instinct, dogs need meaningful social encounters as well as companionship: A leashed dog walk ensures a safe and fun environment for the dogs to get these much needed encounters.

If pets and exercise is a passion of your's or your family/friends' then please don't feel afraid to join in on the fun!  This Dog Walking Club is NOT a dog training club and isn't for those looking for leash training. Those looking for assistance should seek the help of a professional trainer. Obedience training is also highly encouraged.

 Leslie's 11-year old Belgian Malinois, Curry, enjoys the walk every week! So should you!

  We meet and greet before we start our walk. Please remember to bring tasty rewards and waste bags for you pet.
